Do you buy a Mothers’ Day gift for your mother-in-law?

Lisbeth Dahl Bracelet With Turquoise Stones

A couple of years ago, I told my husband that as far as gift-giving goes, he’s on his own. This came after one Christmas when I drove myself mad shopping for gifts for his side of the family while he obviously didn’t give them (or, for that matter, my side of the family) a second thought.

So, no, I won’t be buying a Mothers’ Day gift for my mother-in-law, but I know a lot of my friends will. Do you? Or do you leave it up to your husband? Or do you just not bother with Mothers’ Day at all? Let us know in the comments.

Make your mum’s day with this Rue B bracelet

March 14, 2011

This Rue B triple strand black onyx, pearl and smokey quartz bracelet, with sterling silver clasp has a truly classic look for that special occasion.

It’s currently on special offer – £22 instead of £32 – and, like all purchases from Hampton Blue is dispatched wrapped in blue tissue paper or in a blue organza bag, with a Hampton Blue label attached.

A perfect way to make your mum’s Mothers’ Day.

Beautiful bag for Mothers’ Day

March 9, 2011

You can never have too many bags, that’s what my mum’s always said… so I may just buy her a new one for Mothers’ Day.

This gorgeous grey canvas shoulder bag is embroidered with a colourful peacock and flower design. The bag has a zip fastening, a small inside pocket to hold your mobile phone and another small pocket with a zip for keys, etc. This is an ideal bag for travelling or everyday use.

Are you ready for Mothers’ Day?

March 7, 2011

Mothers’ Day isn’t until 3 April, but remembering the year I gave my mum what was basically an empty cardboard box (understandably, she wasn’t impressed), I like to start planning early.

This East of India blue wooden bowl with a boxed coconut soap inside is a perfect gift. The cream box has a cute luggage label attached with a ceramic square with a heart icon and the inscription ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’. Much better than an empty box, I’m sure you’ll agree!
