The Belfast Mela, Northern Ireland’s largest intercultural arts festival took place last Sunday in Botantic Gardens, Belfast. Hampton Blue were delighted to have a stall at this great event for the second year in a row, along with loads of other fantastic local businesses.

With over 30000 people attending, it turned out to be the biggest Mela to date. The crowds were entertained with dancing and music from cultures around the world. There were food stalls selling cuisine from Thailand, Poland, India and Spain, a global souk, various craft tents for kids and so much more. The sun shone on the day (which has been a rare sight this summer) and the buzz was just amazing. It was great to see so many people from different cultural backgrounds coming together and embracing Northern Ireland’s cultural diversity. We can’t wait to take part in the Belfast Mela next year.
