We would just like to take this opporunity to thank some of the national and local magazines and papers who have very kindly featured some of our products in their publications recently. This kind of press coverage for a small, family run business like Hampton Blue is just priceless.
October’s issue of Prima magazine very kindly featured 0ur Wild and Wolf Travel Card holder in their Travel Notes Section.
Essentials Magazine have also liked our new products and they featured our Disaster Designs Bon Voyage Wash Bag in their September issue. The whole Bon Voyage range, which includes a satchel, purses, make up bags and a mini bag, seems to be going down a storm with our customers. Check out the rest of the products from Disaster Designs on our website.
According to the August edition of Ideal Home magazine, maps are the latest global trend that all the cool designers are using. So with that said, we thought we’d show you some of our lovely products that utilise this trend. We have journals, hip flasks, bags, wallets, storage tins and more – all with cool vintage map designs. Check out the Hampton Blue website for our full range of products.
Well the end of the school term is fast approaching here in Northern Ireland and so if you need some ideas for teacher’s gifts, then look no further.
We’ve got these lovely fairtrade sari journals, ranging in price from £3.95-£8.95 and available in blue, pink, red and purple. Also, why not treat the teachers to one of these cute Disaster Designs compact mirrors. There are 3 designs to choose from and are priced at £8.50. Each one is supplied with a little card envelope with a matching design.
It’s Mothers’ Day on Sunday 3 April and we have a special offer: 15% off your next order. The offer is valid until midnight, Sunday 27 March. Just enter MUMSTW at checkout.
If I were you, my next order would be this Dandy Wallet from Disaster Designs. Along with a popper fastening with three zip compartments, a section for credit cards and other useful compartments inside, it has a pretty vintage postcard design with the inscription ‘Penny for your thoughts’ on the front. If you don’t buy it for yourself, buy it for your mum.
There’s a cute bird design on the front of the mirror with an inscription that reads ‘Things are looking up’. It comes in a decorative card envelope with a sticker that reads ‘Lovely little compact mirror just for you’. A perfect stocking filler.
I went out for a walk this morning. The sun was shining and it looked like a beautiful day, but it was absolutely freezing. The kind of freezing you can’t quite believe. The kind of freezing where you feel like your face is going to crack. I realised I’d have to hunt out my gloves, but I also realised I’ll need to buy a hat.
I still haven’t started my Christmas shopping even though – thanks to my son’s Christmas countdown calendar – I know it’s only 67 days away. I figured I’d ease myself into it, by starting with a few small stocking fillers.
These new Tap A Shape boxes are great for gifts and perfect for party bags. A cute colourful tin with painted wooden pieces that can be made into pirate or fairy themed shapes. Like a jigsaw with added imagination.
My younger son will love this elephant shaker toy. You pull the trunk and it shakes and makes a noise. It can be hung up or attached to a pram, but I imagine he’ll just carry it with him. You can also get a ladybird (you pull the tail).
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Let us know in the comments.
I’m a complete sucker for things that look like old-fashioned stationery – I know that sounds a bit random, but there are actually quite a lot of products designed to look like old-fashioned stationery, you’d probably be surprised! – so I was bound to love this Dandy make-up bag from Disaster Designs.
The bag has a pretty vintage postcard design with the inscription ‘Make up for lost time’ on the front. With a popper and zip fastening, it’s perfect for storing all your makeup essentials. It would make a great gift, but I might just treat myself.
If you’re off on Honeymoon soon, here are my top three recommendations for things to pack.
1. Don’t leave the country without a scarf or pashmina. I love this Blue Cotton scarf: it makes the ideal evening cover-up or can protect your shoulders on a hot day.
The blue makes me think of Mediterranean seas and skies – just right for your honeymoon.
2. Pack a cute and funky make up bag.
I love this Bobbypin Primrose makeup bag with wrist strap and poppered fastening over the top from Disaster Designs. If space is tight in your suitcase, tip your make up out when you arrive and it will double up as a clutch bag.
3. Select a range of your favourite jewellery to glam up your outfits for going out each evening.
Have a fabulous Honeymoon!
