Alternative Easter Gifts
April 13, 2011A Big Thank You!
April 5, 2011Hi Folks
Well, while I’ve been busy with baby no 3 and dealing with all the other aspects of running Hampton Blue, Antonia Chitty from ACPR has been doing a great job of looking after our Hampton Blue blog. Now that I’m kind of back into a routine again (more like organised chaous) it’s now time for me to take over the reigns and take the huge leap into blogging!! So please bare with me folks, while I learn yet another new skill (I’ve been learning a lot of new stuff lately) and hopefully I can produce some interesting posts.
Just wanted to say thanks so much Antonia for doing a fantastic job over the past year and I can only hope I’m a quick learner and live up to the great standard you set.
Best Wishes
Debra
Do you buy a Mothers’ Day gift for your mother-in-law?
March 23, 2011A couple of years ago, I told my husband that as far as gift-giving goes, he’s on his own. This came after one Christmas when I drove myself mad shopping for gifts for his side of the family while he obviously didn’t give them (or, for that matter, my side of the family) a second thought.
So, no, I won’t be buying a Mothers’ Day gift for my mother-in-law, but I know a lot of my friends will. Do you? Or do you leave it up to your husband? Or do you just not bother with Mothers’ Day at all? Let us know in the comments.
Mothers’ Day: 15% off – and a purse to keep the saved money in!
March 21, 2011It’s Mothers’ Day on Sunday 3 April and we have a special offer: 15% off your next order. The offer is valid until midnight, Sunday 27 March. Just enter MUMSTW at checkout.
If I were you, my next order would be this Dandy Wallet from Disaster Designs. Along with a popper fastening with three zip compartments, a section for credit cards and other useful compartments inside, it has a pretty vintage postcard design with the inscription ‘Penny for your thoughts’ on the front. If you don’t buy it for yourself, buy it for your mum.
Antique Silver Tealight Holder for Mothers’ Day
March 16, 2011
I’m a bit wary of recommending household items for Mothers’ Day – puts me in mind of my dad buying my mum a microwave one Christmas – but no one could argue with this lovely antique silver tealight holder, surely?
It has a heart motif on either side, a distressed finish, and a wire handle for hanging if desired. Plus each one is slightly different due to the handmade process. Lovely.
Make your mum’s day with this Rue B bracelet
March 14, 2011
This Rue B triple strand black onyx, pearl and smokey quartz bracelet, with sterling silver clasp has a truly classic look for that special occasion.
It’s currently on special offer – £22 instead of £32 – and, like all purchases from Hampton Blue is dispatched wrapped in blue tissue paper or in a blue organza bag, with a Hampton Blue label attached.
A perfect way to make your mum’s Mothers’ Day.
Beautiful bag for Mothers’ Day
March 9, 2011
You can never have too many bags, that’s what my mum’s always said… so I may just buy her a new one for Mothers’ Day.
This gorgeous grey canvas shoulder bag is embroidered with a colourful peacock and flower design. The bag has a zip fastening, a small inside pocket to hold your mobile phone and another small pocket with a zip for keys, etc. This is an ideal bag for travelling or everyday use.
